はじめに / Introduction

デジタル機器の急速な普及をきっかけにして、世界中の出来事に対して多くの人々が情報を手に入れ、そこから意見共有をすることができるようになり、人々は多くの情報に関心を持ち始めています。そのような社会の中で、近年“ポスト真実”というフレーズが注目視され始めています。オックスフォード辞書によるとポスト真実とは、「世論を形成する際に、客観的な事実よりも、むしろ感情や個人的信条へのアピールの方がより影響力があるような状況」を指します。言葉で聞くとイメージが湧きにくいですが、実際にこのような状況が社会には既に蔓延っています。皆さんの記憶に新しい例としては、ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻です。ウクライナ侵攻後、近年の政治や社会情勢はSNSを通じて劇的に変容しています。侵攻を始めとした人種差別、ジェンダー、貧困、人権などのグローバルな問題がSNSを含むメディアで政治的に議論され、あらゆるレベルの政治基盤にも影響しています。本展示ではこれらのような様々な国際的問題に対して、本ゼミの軸である“クリティカル・シンキング（批判的思考）”を交えた上で、特にジェンダー、AI、SNSの観点から様々な現状や問題点、あるいはこれからについて考察しました。本展示を通して皆さんのポスト真実について考える架け橋になれると幸いです。

The rapid spread of digital devices has enabled people to access global information and share opinions, leading to a heightened interest in diverse information, Consequently, the term “post-truth” has gained attention, defined as a situation where emotions and personal beliefs have more influence on public opinion than objective facts. This phenomenon is already prevalent in our society, exemplified by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and its subsequent impact on political and social conditions. Issues such as racism, gender, poverty, and human rights have been extensively discussed through social networking, profoundly affecting political structures worldwide. The exhibition explores these international issues through the lenses of gender, Al, and SNS, utilizing “critical thinking ” as its guiding principle. It highlights current challenges, future prospects, and particularly emphasizes the role of gender, Al, and social networking services. The exhibition aims to encourage reflection on the concept of post- truth and hopes to serve as a platform for contemplation.

松岡ゼミについて / About Us

松岡美里准教授のグローバル・スタディーズ演習では世界中で起きている様々な情勢について、クリティカル・シンキング（批判的思考）を用いながら授業内で議論をし合っています。昨年度の外国語学部にて行われた全員留学によって、私達の世界情勢に対する関心が以前よりも高まっています。その中で今期は「ポスト真実（Post-truth）」に焦点を当てて議論をしています。客観的事実が感情や個人的信念よりも影響力を失いつつあるポスト真実の時代において、国際関係は劇的に変容し、より複雑化しています。戦争や紛争、人種差別、気候変動、ジェンダー、貧困、人権など、グローバルな問題がSNSを含むメディアで政治的に議論され、あらゆるレベルの政治基盤にも影響しています。本ゼミはこれらの大きな問題について、上記のようなトピックごとの視点で議論を行いました。その際に特に注目された、ジェンダー、SNS、AIに焦点を当て、研究を行いました。今回の研究成果を踏まえて、皆さんもポスト真実について考えてみていただきたいです。

In Professor Misato Matsuoka’s Global Studies Seminar, students discuss various issues happening around the world, using critical thinking. Our interest in global affairs has grown since last year’s Global Campus Program. In this semester, our discussions focus on “Post- truth”. In the post-truth era, where objective facts are losing more influence than emotions and personal beliefs, international relations are dramatically changing and becoming more complex. Global issues such as war and conflict, racism, climate change, gender, poverty, and human rights are being politically debated in the media and affecting the political establishment. This seminar discussed these major issues from the perspectives of each of the topics listed above.

In this exhibition, we focus our research on gender, SNS, and Al, which are receiving particular attention these days. Based on the results of this research, we hope that everyone will think about post-truth.
